Steve Lindley Contracting(SLC) is located in Union, Oregon approximately 13 miles south east of La Grande, Oregon. Our specialization is in natural resource restoration projects. Since our firm opened its doors 10 years ago we have successfully completed hundreds of projects, ranging from large to small in terms of both dollar amount and complexity. SLC’s typical clients include tribal governments, watershed councils, soil and water districts, cities, and state and federal agencies in Oregon and southeastern Washington. The firm typically employs 5 year round employees and up to 10-15 heavy equipment operators, depending on workload.
SLC’s mission is to provide a quality end product accompanied by exceptional relationship-oriented service; which has given the firm a reputation for being a reliable partner. SLC’s experience ranges from small-scale culvert replacement projects to complex natural resource construction projects involving coordination between hosts of regulatory agencies, engineers and of course, the client. The fact that each year over 70 percent of SLC’s business comes from repeat clients is a testimony to the quality of the services SLC provides. SLC has never missed a project completion date nor missed a fish salvage deadline.
Increasing concerns over protecting water resources and habitat for endangered fish species requires special professional knowledge during the construction process. With SLC’s experience in successfully constructing water resource and fish habitat projects, we can confidently meet our client’s needs. The philosophy of SLC is to complete projects on time while also making sure that they are constructed in a manner that is ecologically, economically, and sociologically sound. In addition, we hope we never lose sight of why we started our business in the first place, to make a difference in our community today and provide a lasting impression for the future.
